Mission Shift: From Good News to Good Deeds
Wall Street Journal published a fascinating article by Brad Greenberg on the shift in missions from "preaching the gospel" to "serving the needy". It is entitled, "How Missionaries Lost their Chariots of Fire" and is worth the 3-4 minutes to read.
Keith - I started following your blog thru Jeremy Bollens retweeting your Tech video. I'm a Tech grad so of course I loved it (I now direct the ministry at the U of Arkansas)!
Great thoughts and article. That article made me think of this great New York Times editorial: http://www.nytimes.com/2010/05/02/opinion/02kristof.html
Our good deeds are an apologetic for the average skeptical secular person.

Tim,
Thanks for drawing my attention to this editorial. Thoughtful perspective!
